A new liquid water repellent to help manage the damaging effects of water absorption and moisture migration in walling and paving landscaping projects has been launched.

Aquapel Prime, developed by Oscrete, is an easily dispersible, easy to store and accurate to dispense water-based dispersion admixture. Its launch is timed to help the landscaping industry during the upcoming colder months.

The liquid is available in 1000I Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), 200L drums or bulk tanker and has been specially formulated for use in wet and semi-dry processes with a minimum shelf life of six months, making it suitable for winter commissions and production.

Our Product Development and Sustainability Manager Matthew Gabriel said: “Aquapel Prime is ideal for use where an integral water resisting admixture is required to control water absorption and efflorescence in dry, semi-dry and wet concrete production. It brings all the benefits of working with a liquid from being pumped and dosed accurately by computer-controlled batching systems to ease of storage which means it will support our customers from health and safety through to logistics and production accuracy.”

Our team have developed Aquapel Prime with the focus on additional benefits including water repellency and excellent hydrophobing effect ensuring it is ideal for use in concrete block paving, walling and split walling, cast stone and within decorative concrete products.
